Vipor CRM App Reviews

Desperately needs an overhaul on UX and UI issues, performance

This could end up being great software, but for now there are sluggish and poorly thought-out conventions in the application and the mobile counterparts that are nightmares from an end-user perspective. I find it very hard to believe that anyone with the pedigree of ACT shipped this product, but here we are.

Great App for Tracking Sales Funnel Activities

I am using this app to track all of our sales activities for 3 salespeople. It’s a great way to record what they have done and to verify the that appropriate future activities are scheduled for every prospect and customer. The reporting options need to be better, however. A CSV export that will list all sales calls and meetings (history and upcoming) for each salesperson is needed. Also, the calendar is somewhat difficult to use and the calendar display needs work.

The absolute best tool for freelancers

As a freelance designer and organizational consultant, this app is the absolute best tool to use when networking with people on a variety of projects. With a companion iOS app, I am able to keep track of hundreds of important contacts and keep them up to speed with my projects. There are a few UI elements that could be more intuitive. The way to interact with the contact group bubbles doesn’t feel very natural, and it would be fantastic if I could use split screen mode. Additionally, if there could be an integration with other services like IFTTT, or Todoist that would be great.

Very promising

I want to like this, it has a pleasant look and is reasonably easy to use. As other reviewers mentioned it really needs better integration with gmail, MacOS, etc.. The custom field support is nice but it’s nearly invisible — set them up in the preferences, edit the contact and scroll the main area that does not look scrollable. Ultimately we went with an online solution that had project management features we needed. I wish we could have gone with this one.

The best CRM for Macs, by far!

When I bought my first Apple computer many years ago, one of the programs I went shopping for was ACT!, only to discover it didn’t exist for Macs. I was a raving fan of ACT! and used it every day to manage my business and personal relationships. Over the years I bought just about every CRM-like program made for Macs (at significant expense) and never found an adequate replacement for the original ACT! program. Until now. Vipor is the most powerful, reliable and well-designed CRM program for Macs that I have ever used. Importing contacts was a snap. Grouping contacts into orbits establishes meaningful connections in my database that boost my productivity. The best part is how the program serves up the work of the day on the Dashboard by integrating calls, meetings, tasks, activities, and events so that I always know what I need to do, when I need to do it, and with whom. Logs make it easy to capture what happened and what needs to happen next so nothing drops through the cracks. Vipor simply creates order out of chaos. I’ve paid lots of money over the years for CRM programs that were good but not great. This incredible program is what I’ve been waiting a long, long time for, and the price is, literally, a steal.

Has Potentential

I am a Freelancer, I’ve been searching for months for a simple CRM tool without all the bells and whistles that have a hefty price tag. I really like Vipor and it has potential once they work out all the bugs. I hope the company is focused on making this a great application with regular updates and improvements. I’ve seen so many put out a great application for it to only to go dormant.

Getting There

As others have mentioned, Vipor is promising. I was personally unable to get around the UI, which could really use a broad overhaul to tidy things up: Fonts run the gamut from tiny italics to big and bold caps, the sidebar listing the ‘Orbits’ is not wide enough and truncates most of the text, you’re never really sure what can be clicked on and what cant, changes made to a contact in Vipor do not sync to Contacts…..

A huge missing feature for me

I am a solo practitioner attorney and have been looking for something that I can use to keep track of potential clients and contacts with existing clients. It looked like Vipor CRM was going to be a winner. However, after I pulled my contacts into the system, there was one glaring hole that I’ve been unable to figure out how to fill either by poking around in the program or by going onto the Vipor website. I maintain a lot of contacts and generally try to keep track of how I met someone and what my relationship is to them (common friends or whatever). However, a contact in Vipor does not seem to have a notes field or other such item to keep track of this type of informaiton. I can use LinkedIn (if they are a member) to glean some of that type of information, but that is not a great solution. I can create a log item or something like that to keep track, but what that requires is that I reenter a lot of information from my contact list. Much easier to have a simple notes field that takes information from the notes field when I import a contact. In fact, many of the fields of my contacts (like spouse information, department within a company, custom fields or whatever) are simply not supported. This is a mystery to me for a program that is supposed to be all about managing contacts and relationships to not have a rich set of fields associated with the contacts. Seems weird that the simple built in mac contacts book has a much richer set of metadata than a program designed to manage contacts and relationships.

This app is gorgeous, but no doc support?

This app is just stunning but….. It needs the following features to become my go-to CRM: - DOCS…..Document support. I wish that there was a way to store documents in contacts or for an orbit. - CALENDER SYNC….Sync with Apple Calendar (I personally use Fantastical, but that syncs with my Apple Calendar so it would still work) - SHORTCUTS…..Support for keyboard shortcuts such as. Closing any popup with “esc”, saving contact info or orbit info with a simple “cmd+s” or “cmd+enter” for Save and close window. Creating a new contact with “cmd+n” - FULL MENU INTEGRATION….Menu items in the OS X Application menu would be nice (new contact, new orbit, insert document…..etc etc) - IMPORT…...Import/Export contacts in CSV Other than that. I am super impressed with this product. Its simple but effective.

Simple User-Friendly CRM

I’ve used several CRM’s over the years, from custom software to one product fits all softwares like SalesForce. Vipor CRM does not try to be all things to all people, but tries to do what it does well. Vipor focuses on tracking customer information, activities & appointments, and your calendar in a userfriendly interface. What I like most is that I can update contact information quickly without clicking through multiple screens to get to a customer. I really like the orbitz as a means of orgainizing my contacts and customizing lists for faster navigation to contacts. VIPOrbitz is also comitted to imporving Vipor and is responsive to questions asked on it’s customer support website.
