Finally, a good Mac CRM that won’t bankrupt you
I was a fan of ACT! software years ago in business. It was a great tool to manage interactions with customers. I left the corporate world (and PCs) a few years ago, and have a (very) small business. I kept looking for something like ACT! for Mac. Almost all the available packages were Web-based and required a significant outlay of capital for access, payable in perpetuity.
Vipor fills the need. Free download on iOS, low cost for OS X. Integrates Apple Mail, Calendar and Address Book. I imported data from the Mac without a problem. And my wife is VERY happy that I have been able to move all of my professional contacts out of our personal Address Book.
Syncs seamlessly across multiple devices (but there are many slight differences in the user experience between iOS and OS X versions).
Now if only the developer could figure out how to get the iPhone to grab the contact info directly from Vipor (if it isn’t in Apple Address Book, it isn’t seen by the phone). The work-around is that Vipor easily adds contacts back to the Address Book. So if you need to stay in contact with them more often, and want names to pop up when a phone call comes in, it’s not a big deal to get it into your Address Book. Better that than having the whole list in there, with my wife asking “Who is this?” about many of the contacts besides…
A keeper.
